    I've never noticed how much they actually look like a Caprice until that top photo.

    yes, if you looked at a picture of just the front end, without the Cadillac hood emblem, and asked what it was , I think i would have said caprice also.

    But they are quite a bit smaller than a B-Body, as they are actually a stretched X-Body (Nova) and you can really make them handle by swapping in late 1970's Trans Am sway bars, springs, & Quick ratio steering box. I knew a guy who used to autocross one so modified back in the early 1980's. It really was impressive.
