    You laugh, but Washington State legislators are afraid to ban studs, for fear of getting ousted the next time there's heavy snowfall.

    Well if anybody is going to ban Studs it would be the state of Washington, or maybe just Seattle. Lol

    It's very interesting to look at, can't take my eyes off it. :shocked: Can't imagine trying to maneuver it. Sight lines don't look that good. Is that the steering wheel just behind the front wheel? The stagecoach cab does give it a bit of style.
    Clever really. Just goes to show what one can come up with when you put your mind to it...:beerchug:

    That wheel changes the angle and direction of the output chute. There is a second wheel on a near-vertical shaft, that might be the steering wheel.

    I know it was far from a perfect world then, but it's so easy to romanticize about the past when I see images like the one above.
