    That is a nice looking Caddy! I don't normally care for Gold cars but this one looks good. I like the no Vinyl top look on these 1st gen Eldorado's

    Agree on all points, and the interior is as stylish and well preserved as the exterior.

    Looks a lot like an air compressor for factory rear air shocks. Did these have some sort of air ride or auto-leveling system?

    Yes they did. I had the pleasure of restoring such a system on a '69 Eldo, it used bag-assisted shocks. To get the control valve back in shape, the shop ordered a ball link, that connected the control valve to the axle, from a dealer in Saskatchewan, Canada. The last one in existence.
    The canister under hood was both a vacuum-operated air pump and air tank.
