1974 BUICK ELECTRA **55K MILES** **EXCELLENT CONDITION** - cars &... (craigslist.org) Did Buicks ever get any larger than this?
Seller is a dealer. I'm so glad he included this as it tells us so much about the car in question. Unfortunately, his entire description has absolutely NOTHING to do with the actual car for sale. I like how there's even a little "[1]" literature citation, but there's no "[1]" down the page to see the actual reference. All of this was clearly cut and pasted from Wikipedia or something similar. He's got a good number of photos. I'll give him that.
You piqued my interest. So I asked the google machine, and according to the information provided from a couple of different sources the biggest Buick was indeed an Electra. Here's what I found: By 1975, the Electra grew to become the longest vehicle ever produced by Buick. It measured 233.7 inches from bumper to bumper. So, I guess we have an answer.
Actually for a dealer that is a reasonable asking price, I expected it to be about $25K. I was surprised to see they are asking 13K for it. Looks to be in nice shape.
