Here it is in the background of this photo. I hope to be able to get it in October - have had trouble in taking time off from work. The collector has been very generous with keeping it safe in his facility. The paint color is Medium Brown Metallic - the white vinyl roof sets it off beautifully.

Nice bird JWDTENN. Love the sun roof. That really had to be a low volume option.

There are no official numbers available from Ford on the factory sunroof option in those years, but it is believed to be less than 1% of production. This was when a sunroof was a very rare option, not like now when 50% of cars have them.

Agreed, plus I think percentage wise that had to be a hefty part of the sticker. It was like AC in the early ‘50’s when it was nearly 10% of the price of the car.

Oh man! I can't wait to see the rest of the car, out in the daylight after a good rinse!

Is the 4-door Thunderbird next to it also for sale?

Inquiring minds want to know: That building where the T-Birds are is similar to the wall behind your Caprice Wagon. Is is the same storage unit or do you have one like it. Sorry my OCD is showing. Lol

Oh, not the same. Similar but not the same. Different states, in fact. :)

Yeah, under different circumstances, I would love to 'build' my own 4-door Thunderbird..........
Truth be told, I didn't keep the '69 very long, but I guess it just made an impression on me......

If I bought one now, it would just be sitting in the driveway, just like the Safari was...... And the Mrs. would NOT be happy.

Looks like it's time for the Krash family to take out some of their home's equity and build a bigger garage. ;)

I wish....... I'm stuck with the 2-car. No room for a 3rd stall. We tried to buy a new 5-bedroom house with a 3-car out in Moreno Valley, CA. back around 1991, but times were tough then in real estate, and we couldn't find a buyer for the house we were living in......
