One-Family-Owned 1962 Cadillac Sedan DeVille for sale on BaT Auctions - ending September 13 (Lot #55,123) | Bring a Trailer
Always liked the sharp edge look of the 61-62s. As an early boomer I see the understated look of the interior as a time capsule from the end of the Eisenhower era. Hard to believe now, but there was a time when many people with money did not want to look "showy".
Cars were so much better designed back then and lasted, before the bean counters cost reduced everything out. These were very understated, it was definitely a finer car than you could buy from almost anywhere, but it didn't look super flashy to catch your eye as you rolled by. With a few modern conveniences they're great drivers still to this day.
Beautiful car. Looks like somebody spilled a Coke or some coffee on the passenger seat in front. Hope something can be done about that..... Also, one thing to note: This one has the power vent windows in front. The black '63 also on BAT does not - just standard manual cranks.
