...and claim that I own a wagon. I couldn't get a wagon here in Canada due to the SUV craze, so I got a Kia Forte 5, which I honestly believe is the wagon that Kia doesn't want to call a wagon. P.S. I looove wagons!
Welcome to the forum, CyberDon! It's certainly NOT a requirement to own a wagon in order to be a member here. (I don't have a wagon right now.....) But, to be brutally honest with you, what you have there is a 5-door hatchback, not a station wagon. Some manufacturers, like Subaru have started to call their 5-door hatches 'wagons' to placate some of their customers, particularly when they USED TO sell a wagon version of a particular model, and now they sell what should be called a hatchback. To explain and show the difference, I'm going to use the old Ford Focus as an example, since they sold BOTH a wagon and a 5-door hatchback on the same platform..... Wagon: Extended rear area section, long quarter window (wider than it is tall); relatively flat roof all the way to the back; longer in overall length than the hatchback: Hatchback: Same exact wheelbase, smaller quarter window, very short overhang. Overall shorter than the wagon by 9.9 inches.
Welcome to the Forum. As Krash has rightly stated you don’t have to own one, but loving them is a great start. Lol
Thanks for the welcome wishes! I'd go so far as to say the 2021 Forte5 blues the lines betwix wagon and hatchback, being a hybrid of sorts. That's the story I'm sticking to anyway, because it makes me feel better. https://www.autodeal.com.ph/articles/car-features/hatchback-vs-station-wagon-what-are-differences
