I’m Andy. From Grand Island New York. Loved wagons all my life. Parents had a few over the years. Fondest memory is of a 68 safari wagon. Had a 428 in it. Forest green with green interior. My dad and mom always took us out in the evenings with tailgate down and me and my theee brothers semi hanging out the back. Looking for deer and fireflies on the backroads of Alexander N.Y. In town there would always be a younger guy with a mustang or camero reviving there motor next to us at a stop light. The “green machine” as we called it would leave them behind. Promised dad I wouldn’t tell mom. I hope to one day have a wagon in the family to share the great memories these wagons create with my own family. Glad to have found this place.
Welcome to the forum Andy! What manufacturer and year range are you interested in acquiring? I'm a diehard GM guy, but there are SO many cool wagons to choose from! This is the place for all things longroof and other craziness! Hope you enjoy your stay!.....Longroofs Rule!
That’s funny Andrew. We often road out in the country dangling our feet out over the tailgate. I think my dad probably didn’t drive over 20mph but it seemed like it was exciting and fun on those rare occasions. I had to laugh reading your story thinking about your dad tromping on the gas to give a Mustang a what for and you kids hanging on the tailgate for dear life. Good luck on your wagon search!
Andrew, those are some great memories. Thanks for sharing them with us. Welcome aboard and good luck in your search for a future wagon.
