That's awesome man. Congrats. Amazing how these projects can come together a little piece at a time, all it takes its patience and persistence.

I was thinking RUNEDIT, for the unreasonable distaste of bagged classics by a lot of people in the subculture.

With all metal work done, I started into the interior. [IMG]
Paint is Lexus Autumn Shimmer and then I did a Navajo White two tone on the dash. And we're into final assembly.

Some of the pieces gave me a tussle due to them being more... plush than factree, and therefore dimensionally challenged.

ALSO, putting the headliner in sucked baddd, pulling the windshield to do it and reinstalling it even worse. Looking like a real car in here now though.
I found a mismatched set of galaxie armrests and flocked them all brown to match. Town car seats sit a bit too high for me, but look dazzling.

More pics of interior work. Painted the inside Lexus Autumn Shimmer and Navajo White.

    Then I installed the...

Headliner has some waves, which SHOULD go away once it gets parked in the sun to cook. This was tough because I had to pull the windshield out. Installed a fresh gasket on that and stressed/bitched getting it back in. I watched a hot rodder youtube on how it's done and the video ended with them just giving up. I was supposed to pull the side glass as well for triple the fun, but I couldn't find new gaskets. Ended up doing a narrow cut on the headliner with a glue and jam job into the fossilized gasket. A week later, some guy was offering the gaskets for cheap. Oh well. I would liken installing a bow headliner to performing the most bubbled wrap on a car... while upside down.

Carpeted the cargo area in Superflex non-woven carpet, which went really well, aside from the wheel hump I blasted through like an idiot. I'll just hide that from your perusal with my new cooler. After that one, I figured out the trick is to spray glue the top and then just wrestle with it like a bear until all the fibers shift. Now I want to put this stuff in my Z.

Project MorChromes has been a success.

Bumper still brings me sadness and reminds me of being ripped off. This is aired out. The front stops on the vestigial original spring seat, which I can probably trim another inch off of.

    Honey of a car.

I want to do a lot of feather sanding and rubbin' on the patina, and then hit it with some Shine Juice.
    Like this guy...

Have you actually driven it yet? I hadn't seen a post stating that, and I want to know how it handles under power on the air suspension.

Yeah, I drove it. Still chasing gremlins from it having the wrong TPS sensor, smashed Idle control during engine fitting, and possibly 100 other things that have been screwed with.. But yes, it does drive quite well. Sounds like a nascar floored, but almost too quiet at idle. Front suspension is firmer than the rear, and feels ... like a Fusion. The EPS steering is just the most bizzare, silent, effortless thing with the huge steering wheel. Rear suspension is super plush, like a Town Car. Kinda surprising when all that stuff you've worked on for three years actually ends up working. Maybe it's just me.

Maybe change to a Grant wheel for a smaller diameter? Or just steer with your pinky....
The exhaust note's gonna be quiet at idle; it's when you press the 'GO' pedal that gets everyone's attention.
