Hmm if the battery is truly all it needs for the price. Not a bad kids car.

Let's see - cost of new battery probably less than $100. Differerence in value between a 21 year old car that runs and one that does not start - a lot more. Does not compute for me.

Agreed. It always chaps me when people will run an add for a dirty car with leaves and cigarette butts on the floor and the add say “needs a little TLC”. You can get a car wash, and usually free vacuums for $5.00. This seller, like those are lazy, which also makes me think, what else is deferred on that car. Get a new battery, revise the add “New Battery, runs like a Champ” $1,500. Think he’d get more takers. Plus looking at the layer of dust on that back window it’s been parked there a while. The building owner probably said. Ya gotta get that thing out of here by 7/1. Also not that it makes a big diff, but I think the odometer says 146,000.

Not to split the hair but those batteries are more like $150++. I have two of the 2 door version, a Buick Riviera, and the batteries are not cheap. They reside under the back seat and have special little tubes to vent the gasses.
