I need to replace the front axle seal. I've never done this before, but I removed the old one without damaging anything. I have the new seal, and I haven't installed it. It appears that, on this 01 Impala, there are 4 mounting screw holes surrounding the axle seal location, and I'm guessing these are where you would mount a seal press? Am I right in guessing this, and what am I supposed to search for in order to find the right tool? Thanks.

I'd just unbolt that flange and press the seal out on a vise

Thanks, but I ended up getting it installed just fine merely with a mallet and wooden block. I didn't reply (or edit the original post) after the fact, though; sorry.
