Is there anyone out there who knows if there is a replacement that will work? Mine has been sunk in water for about ten years.. Not really repareble. Would also need the switch on the fender for my -72 Buick Estate. Pleez?

Someone told me that a motor for the rearwindow on A K-series Blazer would work.. Can i get that lucky? In my shoes the price on the part dont matter, i just want it to work, i mean. The car is useless if i have to get the dogs out of the car from the backdoors.

LL, it's not repairable at all? GM's ACDelco dealers should have brushes and armatures to repair them. Pretty unchanging stuff inside.

Nah.. Half of the motorhousing is completley rusted off.. Cant do anything with the unit i got. I have mounted a modified door window motor off an Mercedes now, but it lacks a little torque.

Here in crapcountry it is kind of a hard to find part. The dinos didnt sell new here, so everyone is imported private.

You're English is so good that I forgot to check if you were in North America.

Try this site. The links take you to different sites that may have what you need:
    http://vehicle-db.com/parts/search.pl?part=tailgate+motor

You can refine it, with "tailgate window motor" or "GM" or "Chevy", etc.

Look for a guy named "Slamedchevy" on the demolition derby site ""wecrash".
He sold me a bumber and said he has lots of parts. Those guys wreck cars like yours, so if you pay them right they will get you that part.

    Wow.. Thanks for the compliment..

And YESSS! I bought a motor off a Blazer K-series, -78 year.. I will keep you updated if it fit, or if ill have to customize it, or just throw it away. 100 USD seems fair for a chance..

There's this pretty neat place over in Arizona. They have a '72 Buick wagon, that they're parting out. Here's the link...

    http://www.dvautoparts.com/cars.php?/226

The place is Desert Valley Auto Parts. I've been to this place, maybe 10 times. Some of the guys are pretty helpful, however there are a couple of jackasses. Here's the number 1-800-905-8024 if the link doesn't work.

    Hope this helps.

Hey Low Low, Did the 1978 Blazer K series motor work? I am about to have a body shop tackle my slow, misaligned tailgate......

It works like a charm! Its a Standard oe part. The price here in sweden was about half the cost of a rebuild of my old motor..:yippee:
