I thought the same thing. What is the new owner going to do about the bad sensor?

I was contacted by the ex Pontiac Dealer we bought the car from, I was amazed the salesman we bought it from still works there, he is now in his late 70's, but he is the son in law of the original owner of the small town dealership. They offered me $200 above the least I would take for the car. No hassle about C/L scammers anymore.

They even gave us a ride home. I explained the sensor issue to them, and they are confident that they can repair it. So everyone is happy.

My wife already wants to race my Solstice with her yet to be Built Charger. I figure her Charger should run around 13.2 in the 1/4 stock. I have run 11.8 in the Solstice, so maybe I can get her to bet Dinner on it! Her Charger will have about 150 more HP, but will weigh 1200lbs more, and has less rear gear 3.09 to 3.93. But it does have traction control, and a line lock & launch mode standard. So as long as I dont go up in smoke I should be ok.

Wow, sold it back to the dealer?! That charger might look cool, but it’s not really even on the same class as your solstice. Was preference the only reason you didn’t go with a challenger? If I were to be graced with a new car that would be it.

Not enough doors for my wife, no room for her to haul the Greyhounds around in if need be, Fast Dogs need fast cars!!!!

And many blankets to fully protect the rear seat.

I think it's fantastic that your wife shares your enthusiasm for cars. I know that you are a Pontiac guy, and switching to Ma Mopar was probably elicited a little bit of a grumble, but personally I don't think you could have picked a better car for what you want/need. I'm looking forward to further updates. :thumbs2:

Thanks for the thumbs up, my wife is alittle downbeat at the moment as she has to drive my truck for a few weeks, as she won't drive the Solstice after she spun it the first week we had it.

I told her she is going to have to watch driving it, as it will not "blend" in like the white G8.

Her Father (who is a big Ford Guy) told her she is going to have to blacken out one of her front teeth to fit in with the Local Mopar Crowd, she told him in our town she would have to get a "Grill" installed, and can she have the money it would take to get one! Got to love the daughter of a Marine Master Sargent!!!!

I’ve got a friend who calls that “road camo”. It’s one of his top priorities when buying cars. He’s all over some mild color Honda accords
I bet I’d get along better with the chick in charger with gold fronts:rofl:thats my kinda people:biglaugh:

I was trying to think of a way to say I’d prefer the company of your wife that didn’t seem suggestive or
offensive :biglaugh:there might not be a proper way to say that... I’ll shut up now

No problem Brother, I didn't tell her you referred to her like that.

When I told my coworkers about the car and they looked up the HP it had they where convinced I was trying to kill her! I had to remind them she is a Former Bracket 2 champion at our local Drag Strip. But what I didn't tell them is that the new car will have at least 100 more HP than the Supercharged Grand Prix she used to Race!
