Hmmmm...I know that places like Fastenal catalogue similar stuff like that, try them, and/or a local place like Fastenal, to see if they might be there.

I have had good results at my local NAPA Auto Parts, as well, especially if you have an old one to take with you to show them what you need. Worth a shot.

It's a pretty niche product. Considering how many different model cars had woodgrain and over such a huge span of time, it's not that surprising that most of this stuff isn't reproduced. I know it stinks, but unfortunately that's the reality of the situation.

    Yeah, its a shame.

But I'm reading people say they have their woodgrain analyzed and recreated. Where would I go to have such a thing done?

Well, if it was a downed woodgrained jumbo jet, an FAA forensic hangar would be the place to ask. Since it obviously isn't the case, an old dealer's brochure would often picture optional woodgrain. Once you've got your pattern, I'd e-mail companies like 3M who used to print vinyl and ask them for any advice

Check here for your woodgrain. Mick specializes in it. He's in So Cal, and owns the nice Falcon Squire you'll see when you click on the link.....

Know how you must feel after its done, when I wire wheeled, scrapped, sanded and repainted all of the rust off the lower inside door edges I felt great. no more opening the door and having that uck staring at me.
