    Hi Everyone,

I finally signed up for this forum! I'vs had my 1984 Mercury Colony Park for almost 10 years now, it was a prop car used for advertising, photo shoots etc before I got it. It's Blue with Blue Leather and I've put new leather on the entire front seat, restored the dash pad and redone the headliner. Driven it cross country several times with the family over the years.

It's been through several different powertrain combinations since I've had it, first was stock 140hp 5.0 with terrible MPG, then 5.0 HO mustang engine and trans - much better power and MPG. then I put a turbo on the 5.0 HO engine for awhile with a 4R70W transmission. Now it's got a 5.3 V8 LS engine with a 76mm turbo and GM 200-4R transmision! very fast but still looks factory - white stripe tires and all. Rebuilt the entire AC system and use the good stuff (R-12) for the super hot summers here in the desert.

I'll post up some pics if anyone is interested.

I'm here to get some opinions on replacement woodgrain for starters. I'll go check out that forum.

Welcome aboard! Sounds like a pretty neat wagon (although my heart sank when I read 5.3 V8 LS :() I'd love to see some photos of it.

ok, I'll take some pics tomorrow! Sorry about the engine swap, I admit little piece of me died after I did it. I tried so hard to get the Ford stuff to run right but I was just asking for too much power out of the combo I had without spending huge $$. For me Power>Brand Loyalty
