Oh, man, that makes me sick. There's a member who dealt in Fairmont and Zephyr Squires, but he has not been on the forums in a long time. His username was Stormin' Norman, IIRC. And the few other Fairmont wagon guys also haven't been around lately.

Didn't he leave us several years ago? I mean, permanently.

I have no idea. It took a while for me to realize he hadn't been in, in a long while.

He's been on foureyedpride.com now and then. There isn't as big of a following for the non-Mustangs over there, but there are a few F/Z and LTD/Marquis people over there. The good news (marginally) is the quarter panel and the wood trim pieces should be the same for all F/Z and LTD/Marquis wagons (fox base of course) up to 1986. I can't think of any other websites (other than this) that would even pay the fox body wagons any heed.

I would also search nation wide on craigslist for anybody parting out a fox body wagon. Ebay is a long shot and frankly I'm not sure what to even search for on there to find what you need.

Is there structural damage? The wheel doesn't look square in the wheel well, but that could be a combination of the angle and the damage.

I didn't even look very close, it does look like the wheel was hit, and regardless of whether you have the 6.75" or 7.5" differential, the axle shafts were fairly thin in comparison to an 8.8". The upside is that any Fox 8.8" axle is a direct bolt-in, and if you wanted to upgrade, a disc brake axle with a slightly taller gear is definitely doable. Have that checked for axle shaft damage before you drive it any further.

You have just experienced my worst fear, Hope you have insurance, I have mine insured for $9,500.00 with a $500.00 collision deductible.
For ucks and giggles I searched eBay for the chrome trim for a Colony Park, I could find all the pcs. and if I had to get them it would cost over $1800.00 a side plus shipping plus putting them on plus the cost of the Di Noc at $4. a foot.

And since I have no luck selling the car at $6,000 - wish someone would steal it - but who in there right mind would steal a 85 Colony Park - heck they didn't steal them when there were new.

Wish you luck and hope it can be repaired.

Dang, that stinks. I hope you're able to get it repaired and back on the road.

First off happytaps, welcome to the Forum. In the Southwest here I occasionally still see these in yards. Will keep an eye open. The obvious problem will be the Squire trim as you’ve pointed out. You may need a good fabricator.

I just posted on this member's thread on modding his LTD II wagon with a Mustang drivetrain. Hopefully, he can help you with the trim you are seeking, and you should read his thread.

Hopefully that piece won’t be too complicated. It’s probably not going to be the cheapest solution, but you can have it all re-wrapped with the correct trim color, and it’ll look brand new.
