I think I'm in love. This is a beaut. I love the colors and the interior is just so nice. Yes, I would spend 10 large on this car (if only I had) https://roseburg.craigslist.org/cto/d/roseburg-chrysler-imperial-crown-coupe/6930903784.html
SOMEBODY PLEASE want to buy this, so I can go test-drive it for you, PLEASE! I'm only 65 miles from Roseburg.
I think that is the seatback release to get into the back seat. It think the round switch is the power recliner.
NO. The round switch is the 4-way power switch, the seatback release is partly visible on the backside of the hinge, and the lever is the seatback recliner. One of my friends when I was in grade school, his parents had a Chrysler 2-door sedan (they only had two kids), and the seats had those controls. We could never keep our hands off the 4-way control.
Those seats are AWESOME! I'm trying to find seats like these for my wagon. The Imperial seats are the rarest of the rare. Too bad for me.
I could go take it for a 2-hour 'test drive' and bring it back with a milk crate to sit on........ "I don't know what happened..... I just went into a 7-11 for a soda, and when I came back out, the seat was gone....."
It wouldn't be worth ruining the Imperial, for that. I know, you were joking. Were you? It's possible to copy the seat from original blueprints. But, of course, doing so would be quite painstaking
The ad is light on details, but if I am reading it right, it seems that this is an original mile survivor. Pretty spectacular. I agree with the above statements, the interior is amazing.
Chrysler should use these basic lines for doing a retro version of this Green Hornet-mobile, like Ford did with the Thunderbird
'64, '65, and '66 were the best looking Imperials of the '60's. Someone here has a bright yellow '65 or 6 Crown Coupe, I saw him driving it through a Walgreen's driveway. The Oregon car is something I'd love to have. I had a '63 LeBaron someone had stuck a 440 into, as much as I liked that car, it was a mess.
