Check out this sellers E Bay feedback before even thinking about dealing with them. It's horrible.

For 15-grand they can't replace the headliner before listing it?

Yup..... We've seen this one before. I commented last time about the seller being too lazy and cheap to replace the $400 headliner.

I had a 1985 Lesabre Limited Collectors Edition(Park Ave interior) in the same color, light sage green. It's a great color. Goes well with woodgrain inside and outside.

I would say the gallon of coolant in the backseat is for another car that has a coolant leak.

I’m with you Bigboats. I really loved that color too. It was so new to Buick in ‘85. I agree about the headliner. I’d also taken the anti freeze out of the back to eliminate any concerns about where it belongs. Also did your ‘85 have a special, or different hood ornament with a Whiteish background? Seems like I remember a special hood ornament on certain ‘85’s as well. Maybe it was a “limited” thing.

$400? I paid $200 on my 96 Roady. Not replacing that is just lazy.

    60Merc-
There were 2 trim levels for Lesabre in 85, custom and limited. All Limiteds were labeled "Collectors Edition" to commemorate the last RWD Lesabre before the FWD downsize in 86. The 85 Limiteds all had a special owners folder with the history of Lesabre, special cut keys, special hood ornament, script on passenger dash, extra wood trim on the door panels, and the pillow-top seats from the 1981-1984 Park Avenues. The seats were the biggest thing, so much better than base custom seats.

I always liked the 84-85 Lesabre tail lights instead of the full size Park Ave rear, so the 85 limiteds was the look I wanted with the Park Ave interior; a win win. I owned an 85 limited 2door in gunmetal gray with light gray velour, half landau gray top, and rallies. My 85 limited 4 door was triple light sage green with full vinyl top and wire wheel covers.

I also had a 1996 Roadmaster Sedan with the Collectors Edition hood ornament, no other special goodies. I guess they labeled some cars this model year for the same reason(except RWD done for good). However, my car was a base model, not a limited. That car had CDplayer and a posi rear, but didn't even have keyless entry or passenger power seat....it was pretty stripped in Roadmaster terms.

Thanks for the in depth explanation. I knew at the time there was something special about that trim level of LeSabre. I agree that those were really wonderful cars. It’s funny that the Sage was one of your colors of choice, along with the gunmetal gray, also a new ‘85 color of memory serves me correctly. Those were my two favorite colors in those as well. I was a Grand Marquis man myself, and had a charcoal ‘83. A 22 year old kid buying a Grand Marquis. I guess I should have known there was a problem then. Was really tempted to replace it with one of those ‘85 Buick’s, but held out till ‘86 and bought another Grand Marquis. I really loved Reagan era big cars. I recently bought another ‘86 Grand Marquis with 40,000 miles on it. The Marquis to me had to have the formal roof. Sounds like we have a lot of the same taste in cars. White would not have been my first choice, but I couldn’t find the blue metallic that I had in ‘86. Baggers can’t be choosers, and this one is in like new condition.

That GMarquis looks great. I like white cars....I know they are more popular but a buffed white car next to a plumber's white van is no comparison. Especially older cars that have some lines and additional trim, white stands out.
I detailed a family friend's GMarquis awhile back and it was white with lower gray accent. It had the slighty smaller taillights and composite headlights so I think it was a 90 or 91.

Yeah I do a 3 stage 3M buff, and man can you bring those colors up. I just bought a ‘77 Landau (white), and that car, along with the Grand Marquis look like your ready to dive into a fresh glass of Milk.
