Hi All, I do appreciate the concerned messages I've received from folks. Was a tense month here in Austin. Turns out he was at the Red Roof Inn right near my home (scary!), off I-35 between Chuy's and La Margarita, our two favorite Tex-Mex places to eat here in Round Rock. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2018/03/2...tic-confrontation-idd-as-24-year-old-man.html ---My Dad is just really glad Chuy's is ok....since he gets all his food an clothing there.... Never a dull moment! Again thanks for the concern. Take Care All! -Texas Mike
Mike, glad to hear you and your family (and favorite restaurants) are all safe. I'm glad to hear that this sad story has drawn to a close.
Glad you're OK Mike, our family had been avoiding Austin since he started to ramp up the bombing. I'm glad we found him! By the way tell your dad I like his shirt!
Sad. Young guy, from a good family in the next suburb over. He lived about a mile away from the mayor of Pflugerville too. Pretty amazing.
The naughtiness going on in our own country these days is unbelievable! I stopped being a regular watcher of the evening news.......or the "violence" as a good friend calls it.......years ago, too depressing! Where/how have we gotten so off track as a nation for many of our citizens to do these things? I chalk it all up to "no sense of personal responsibility" that many people seem to be lacking raised from their youth. We've had it too easy in this great nation for too long I guess?
This guy reminded me of the one guy, back in the '80s, who was targeting prominent Mormons in the main church in the greater Salt Lake area, then accidentally blew himself up when he went to mail one of his bombs (he survived). Killed two or three people over his forging of documents and passing them off as authentic, but seen by him as embarrassing to the Mormon Church.
That incident and that t-shirt might not be as unrelated to one another as it may seem: https://qanon.pub/
Hey now that the Austin bomber is gone... does that mean there will now be an explosion of package thefts in Austin? Too soon?
