Hi all! I am just starting my Station Wagon restoration journey, and hope to share my experiences and gather imput along the way, as well as see all of your wagons. My 1960s Parkwood Station wagon has most of its original parts, it runs, but does need TLC to get it back to its former glory. Have never owned an older station wagon, but I have always loved they way they looked and their practical use. Right now I have my gem at Les Schwab getting new rims, tires, springs, and shocks put on. The rest will need to happen in increments as I can afford it. More to follow.

You could raise funds, through selling those lowrider items which are getting replaced. Letting the shop keep them would be like letting the dentist keep your old gold filling he or she has just replaced

Welcome to the forums! Looks to be a nice longroof. Does it need any cosmetic work also? I think you'll like it around here, a lot of great information and a lot of interesting characters also! I have a 65 vista cruiser so I'm a little more drawn to your 60 Chevy (love those early 60's GM wagon's!) Oh by the way we love pictures around here! Again welcome and enjoy your stay!....Longroofs Rule!

You make a great point! Will be certain to leave with them and post them for anyone who may want to buy them. But probably for local pick-up, as rims are wicked heavy.

Yes, although she has all her main/important parts, new paint, a few rusted areas, new upholstery, power steering, and disc brakes are a few of my long and short term projects. I too, love the look of the late 50s and early 60s wagons. Doing a little at a time, but will definitely post pictures. Here is the rear end and new wheels so far. Googled Vista Cruisers, and they are cool.

Terrific wagon! 1960 is my favorite year for Chevy, and yours looks great. I like your choice of wheels as well.

Welcome aboard! Great lookin' wagon. Cars back then had a lot more character. I do like the '59-'60 body style.
Btw, I liked the wheels that were on there. I thought the car looked pretty cool with them and the low stance.
Good luck on your resto journey.
