Very impressive looking, but that price is off the charts. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Ponti...ic-/112750220788?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Very good looking, but, yes, $25K will probably be hard to get. But the seller is a dealer, so what do we expect? At least the VIN is correct. But like all GM VINs of this era, it doesn't tell anything about the car that you couldn't get just by looking at it except the assembly plant. 252460P167827 2 = Pontiac division 52 = Catalina 46 = 4-door wagon, 3-seat 0 = 1970 model year P = Pontiac, Michigan assembly plant 167827 = serial number
This car has been discussed elsewhere. Big questions are why a 15k mile "survivor" needs to be "restored" and that paint code 14 isn't factory black but silver. Someone who apparently looked at it when it first was for sale a few years back said the frame had questionable spots in it, which considering it was an Ohio car when new wouldn't be surprising. It definitely appears nice, but for the money they're asking I'd be asking a lot of questions and be doing a very thorough inspection first.
There are a lot more pictures further down in the ad including the window sticker. I've rotated it so we can read it. Car definitely looks pristine. Car definitely looks pristine.
As mentioned earlier, an inspection would be wise for this car. However at first glance this Pontiac wagon looks restored better than most Firebirds of the day. Even the door jambs are as shiny as the rest of the body!
Reserve apparently now met. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Ponti...ic-/112790425858?_trksid=p2141725.m3641.l6368
Its this car... http://a2goos.com/data_images/galle...n-wagon/pontiac-catalina-station-wagon-05.jpg Been around for at least the last 5 years, from an auction purchase on Hemmings I think, and then the roof rack was added, this pic below... https://classiccars.com/listings/vi...enger-wagon-for-sale-in-arlington-texas-76001 As indicated above, in Texas for the last couple of years... Nice look at it on youtube in this video... if you can wait through the drum roll... The wheel/tire package has disappeared so priced accordingly...
Apparently listed with no reserve and sold for $18,310 here.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-Ponti...Wagon-Restored-Survivor-Classic-/112790425858 Now relisted for $27,500 here.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/112814106049?ViewItem=&vxp=mtr&item=112814106049
