Hi I guess i've been into wagons since 1st grade . Dad bought a 68 malibu 307 3 spd new . by 76 it was pretty ragged . He then ordered a 76 AMC matador wagon . checked every HD opt box . It was like a cop car . Thats the car I learned to drive in . Never found the limits of adhesion , I used to turn the oil pressure light on pittsburgh rd ' long RH curve . Mostly a GM guy , ex Olds dealer mech 82 /92 . Did a gas eng swap into a 81 cutlass cruiser , fun little sleeper . next driver was a S 10 , ok but barely ? In 98 I bought a 95 Roadmaster , LT1 , tow pkg a car i really liked a lot . Towed my 71 Cutlass to the track effortlessly . In 2006 my daughter ( age 16) broke off a 14 in phone pole with it . drilled it on the LH head light . Walked away without a scratch !!! The LT1 powertrain is on a pallet . My daughter was upset about the wreck / at least the car died and she didn't . So I tried to buy an 89 custom cruiser that was traded in at the local chev/ cad dealer in 2006 . Some BS / guy at the dealer wanted it for a demo derby ? 63 000 mi nice car Thank god his deal fell thru !!! So my one buddy with a used car lot bought it . I have done work on it for him , and now he' s thinning his herd , and he knows i'm a 'good home ' . AKA car junkie . the 71 runs high 12's . sits next to a 2004 GTO 6 spd . 72 cutlass conv project . I daily drive a silverado rustbucket . it's expendable ?
