No. However, unlike some of the newer Fords (cough, F150, cough, Expedition, cough), you do not have to completely remove the dash to get the heater box out, but you will have to decide if you want to cut the plastic out on the evaporator case underhood to undo the nuts on the heater case studs, or just smash the bloody thing, as I did on my CP.

My apologies, I have a wrinkle in my life (Dad's in the hospital). I wasn't on here until now; I hope I didn't mess you up.

Thank you for your understanding and your well-wishes. He's not in a good place right now, and if his health can't improve enough over the next few weeks, it's gonna be tough. Anyway, why don't you tell me what day and time (including time zone) you'd next be available and I'll let you know if I can make myself available at that time.

I can relate, my mum has been diagnosed with a very rare cancer a few weeks ago. Recently I've been running weed for her to help her relax and not be in constant pain. I went ahead and did the job, curiosity of how it worked got the better of me haha, re-did the plumbing and it came out very well, although my battery died as a result.. It wouldn't be so bothering if it weren't my only car. It could be worse however..

I hear ya, man. My Exploder's down, Dad's pickup is down (and I was driving it so I could fix the Ranchero!), and I'm just on the Ranchero. It never rains but it pours.

I'd love to find a CS or CP that drives decently and doesn't need a couple thou to keep it on the road.

Im building a budget of 30 thou to do everything j want. Complete rust elimination and galvanization of the sheet metal and frame. 460bb swap with a TKO600 with a 8.8 modded with 3.73 gear. All sent to cryoheat for deepfreeze treatment and micropolishing. Completely restored interior and finish it all off with a trophy runner suspension.

My theory with restoring old cars is that you'll have a reliable classic that will only appreciate in value.

Thanks islander!! everything came out well, probably gave myself a little brain damage from licking a hose connector to lube it a little (didn't know it had lead in it)

Brain damage? Try walking around all day as a kid carrying lead pellets in your mouth for you pellet gun! I used to go hunting with friends with pellet guns and always carried the pellets in my mouth. Duh!!
