Got rid of the un-original 8 inch and found an original 9 inch (Equalock 3:00 posi) in a wrecked 1963 Country Squire in a small town wrecking yard about 50 miles away. What a find. Got it out and home, cleaned it up and I'm having an N case traction lock set up for it as we speak! Check it out!

    Wow!
It's amazing some of the stuff that is out there. I'm surprised that wagon and all of it's contents weren't scrapped a long time ago.

I got lucky no doubt. The 390 and the transmission were already gone some time ago. Just the rear end remained. Axle was in good shape for the most part, but the drums were wasted due to moisture and rust. Unfortunate, so I decided to go with discs on the rear. The cost difference over purchasing a bunch of new drum equipment and discs inst that much. Moving forward!
