Hi guys and girls wanted to introduce myself I am Michael from knoxville and I am long roof crazy!my daily driver is a 59 parkwood.I also have a 64 studebaker wagonaire that runs but needs full restoration but the good news is that's what I do!I work at a hotrod restoration shop.I found a 63 Catalina safari wagon that melted my heart that needs rescued!I was needing some guidance on interchangebility parts on.it needs a passanger front door because it has a 2 ft by 2ft dent in it.if it comes down to it I can bang it out but was wondering if 4 Dr sedan door would work or stationwagon only.thank you all for your time.long roof the world!
thumpdaddy. Looks like the beginning of a nice collection. The door dent may be too much to thump back into shape but it's possible to use the door skin from another wagon. Do they sell Bondo by the ton?
C'mon now TENNESSEE!!! Welcome to the forum my eastern mountain brother. Love to see pics of your collection. Door dents and all!
Well here is my daily for a year now 6.0 ls 4l60e 4 wheel disc braked air bagged babydoll!my studebaker and 96 rdmster at the shop.LSTHEWORLD!
My 96 was my daily till 59 was roadwork hybrid Rd sterling bagged out no c notch as you can tell.now it's c notched since I'm driven the 59
Wow, I'm crazy jealous...that's a beautiful 59. That Catalina wagon sounds nice too. I have been a big fan of the early Cats wagon or not.
Welcome aboard Michael. I dig the '59 wagon and your B-body Roadmaster is pretty cool as well...they both look cool slammed. Is the 6.0 LS in the '59, or the '96? As for the 4-dr sedan passenger door fitting the wagon, it's worth a shot if you can find one. I know with G-body wagons, sedan front doors interchange, but the not the rears due to the window frames being different. Worse case scenario, I would think you could use the skin off of a 4-dr HT door. '63 Pontiac wagons are pretty cool. I remember seeing a Canadian model at a car show years ago. It was powered by a Chevy 409 engine that the guy was including a dual quad setup with the sale. GM of Canada used a lot of Chevy engines in various GM models.
