Seller is asking $2500 and claims to have over $7 grand invested...I can't see where though http://victoria.en.craigslist.ca/cto/1238121271.html
Sounds like he's counting all the maintenance bills since he got it. More like a decent project wagon. Still, not a bad price for the vintage ...
'65 Squire If he has $7K in that car, maybe he might be intested in a bridge that I have for sale? TJ in GB
A torn front seat,a sagging headliner, one door with quite literally everything missing from the inside. The engine didn't look particularly new and shiny, but that's not always a bad sign.Maybe it and the transmission are all new and shiny on the inside...If it starts up,reasonably easy and goes,,,yeah, the $2500 to start the project sounds like a good idea. And it said (island car),I was expecting to see Hawaii in the background.
The Southern tip of Vancouver Island has a few palm trees that are hardy enough to take the rare few days of under 32F. It's half the length of Japan - big island. Most years they get one or two days of small snowfalls. I remember how they got a few inches in one crazy storm and had no snow removal equipment (1969-1970). So there are quite a few decent project cars there.
...this guy phoned me 3 years ago and wanted 5000 !!! its actually really solid !!...just worn out if i had 1800 to pee away right now....id go get it!~! but my property taxes are due....priority's...dammit
LMAO, dam prioritys....I have the same problem or I would have gone to look at it, but the barn is full rite now and my part Cutlass is out side, my "1 over the limit" car ( I rent the barn from a understanding guy), House reno's, wagon and truck mods.......Dam Prioritys with $$:banghead3:...
Hey Rev.... A friends Dad who has a 65 Falcon Sport Coupe looked at the car, he said it's a $1200 car max. House carpet covering the floor and the sellers description of the floor being repaired with new metal = Cut patches of "new metal" and screw it down over rust holes..... Newer parts mentioned must have been done a long time ago, carb, rad, etc. I was also told that my friends dad could'nt see where the 7 grand invested came from but left on a good note. I guess the sellers health really is'nt good. All and all I was told it would be a cool car if your prepaired to do and $pend on it.
Thats exactly what my buddy said....He's 30 and just got married and does'nt have the $$. He said and he would keep the out side as is, paint the rims red, put those rainbow blankets over the seats (Mexican Blanket?), and put a surf board on the roof It's a F..., Sh...,P...., for me...I can't justify this wagon rite now. It's gona be one of those....."I wish I did'nt let it get away cars"
For me,the "just drive it" part would entail flying to Canada to get it and "just drive it back". That could very well be,easier said than done.
