Hello Over there! Saturday morning i had an email from the shipping company my Dodge Monaco-72 was going to be picked up in Denver the same day. Shipping time and time in the harbors is about eight-weeks. This calls for a celebration! Every eastern there is a four day custom motor show in my home town, Jönköping. Enjoy the pics.
Johansson Congrats, welcome - car looks terrific- I hope it is everything that it purposes to be - I would imagine that parts would kind of an issue over there - so the forum is the place to reach out. 8 weeks - wow hope you can make it! welcome
Welcome aboard. Glad to hear you found a great car. I'm looking forward to hearing all about it once it arrives.
Greetings Johansson, Congratulations on acquiring your 1972 Dodge Monaco station wagon. There are few remaining in the United States so the number in Sweden must be close to zero. My wife is from Östersund and is another happy blue eyed Swede, especially since we live in Southern California where we will have temperatures above 80°F, 27°C, for most of this week. Welcome to the forum.
Hejsan/hello and handshake to to you! The wagon interesst started as a family project about three years ago. I focus on Dodge coronet 1971-73 but no luck. I did find one D.Monaco 73 goldmet. at a US dealer in Norrköping. perfect condition. Price: 28000$ Last year a project Monaco-72 showed up one hour drive from my home. Asking price 14000$. I think another 10000$ could have a made a decent car out of it. But I had me a test ride, and I could not forget the lines. Best Regards Kim. From The Match Town City.
Howdy 1tireman and thanks yo You. Today I had to go to the Notary Public to get the Power of Attorney form. this must follow my D.Monaco SW through the US Custom. Best Regards Kim.
my dad offered me one of those in a dark brown with the wood grain when I graduated high school if I got rid of my tunnel rammed 396 bbc 68 firebird. " dai i'm18 what do I want a station wagon for?" boy would he be laughing now . nice wagon good luck with it
8 weeks will go in no time and it used to be a a day kept the doctor away but I like your plan Johansson a day happy healthy and a Longroof on the way from Downunder
Hello and Cheers to you Dennis! My Monaco will be a family project, I want to show my wife (she`s Thai) and dauther around Sweden, Norway and Finland. -yes the 8 weeks will go fast, because im now 55-years and I learned that time goes too fast. But in the meanwhile I got two motorcycles to spend my free time on. Right now I`m sitting here with a Whiskey on the rocks and celebrate my home town ice-hockey team (HV-71) winner of the Swedish National Hockey Leage! I hope you can come over to Sweden som day Dennis. Best Rock and Roll wishes from Kim.
Thanks for the greetings! This is not my first US Wagon (oldsm. 1982-custom cruiser 350 diesel) back in the 80`s. This wagon I can`t forget. It had a lot of equipment witch European car`s had had shortage of. Best Regards Kim.
Howdy "59 wagon man"! When my dad and I watched Frank Cannon 1972-73. I asked my father please daddy can`t we by a car like Frank Cannon? The answer was always; - Son don`t you understand, nobody wants so big cars anymore and the mileage is way to much. End of discussion. I hope I will feel like "Frank Cannon in a wagon". Friendly wishes from Kim.
