Thanks 101. I recall using something like this when I first bought my '87 and had to get ready for smog testing...but i don't recall what brand I used and I think I only did it for one tank. Good idea.

I know Marshall, and your "(not)" need not be in ( )'s lol. I just have a feeling it's going to be an ordeal.

The truck originated from Los Angeles, so who knows the story on that C-Max? There was also non-running Toyota truck of some sort...even the truck driver mentioned "why...(pay to transport something so "blah"?). But I suppose there's an infinite number of reasons why someone might need to transport a vehicle.

What made you want to go with the 1991-96 body style over the 1987 you had?

I personally never liked the last iteration, especially as to styling, and the loss of things like a power rear window seemed like a step backward.

I have to agree with you about the loss of the style of a power rear window. I kinda felt the same about the loss of the clamshell design when I gave up my '75. But I do like the side wing vent windows back there.
My '87 was was fun to have, but I just could not get beyond how sluggish that 307 was after having 350's and 400's. I'm the furthest thing from a speed demon, but.... Part of it was also just the body styling of this "whale" generation that started to appeal to me and curiousiy got me looking around. So I tested the market for my '87 and found a buyer in less than two weeks. So I'm going to try my hand at this one and see how I like it. We'll see.

Agreed that the 307 was a poor choice for the late '80s GM box wagons. I know fuel economy was the issue, but I can't imagine it was that much better than a 350.

No, not much difference in mpg's, you're right. But at least I could get out of the way in a hurry if I needed to with my previous 350's/400's.

May not have a power rear window but the ride and drive of them are great. Congratulations on your new wagon!
