Good Looking 6000, if the asking price was 1/2'd I would be tempted to look at it. They are nice driving FWD wagons.
Wow, one does not see too many of these wagons around any more, let alone in such good condition. My uncle, who worked for GM, once had an '85 Celebrity wagon in all blue. I seem to recall he got a lot of use out of it as a family car.
They may as well. They don't make a car wide enough to seat 3 non-anorexic people across anymore. I don't say this often, but if the pics are a true representation of the car, I think the price is worth it. Just watch for a transmission shudder problem due to its design. Probably won't be an issue at 11K miles. I had an '86 6000 for several years. I loved that car, and for a front-driver, it was relatively easy to work on. It's drawback -- the 2.8 carb'ed motor was a little light for it. It was adequate back in the late '90s, but average speeds have gone way up since then, and I don't think it's ~115 hp would cut it today. I'm guessing the FI 2.8 in this one would have a bit more -- maybe 120 - 130 hp. It's too bad they insisted on using the Chevy V6s for it instead of the Buicks. The 3300 had a lot more power and, thus, didn't work nearly as hard to move the car. I got less than 100K miles from the rebuilt 2.8; I have over 235K on the original motor in my '93 Century.
