Very nice, and just about worth the price if he's right about it running good.

Agreed. However, I wonder how "original" it is. I see a lot of orange peel in this picture. Makes me think the paint is not original.

Yeah, you're right about that. My eyes are not as good as they once were.

I owned quite a few 70's cars that the original paint looked like that, Ford and GM.

I was thinking the same thing. 70's build and finish quality was not the best. It was still a time when American manufacturers were not properly challenged and languished at the top of the heap just due to the fact they happened to be located smack in the biggest market in the world. Style and design might have been good, execution not so much. 40 plus years have passed and Asian and European makers have brought alternative, perhaps better goods into the market and yes, GM and Ford have responded with much better quality offerings today. Considering a '70s/'80s typical American car, long since off the road, lasted 160-180K miles just off the top of my head; now, I'm driving a late '90s truck, with better fit, finish and longevity, has surpassed 233K miles, and with the maintenance I attempt to do, I expect it to not only hit 300K but do five liters of zoom past it. And I definitely call on all those ponies on a regular basis.

You guys are way too picky! :thumbs2: The pin stripe alone to me does not look original.

Be interesting to find if Ford did do conformal pinstriping, although I don't remember seeing any way back when.

I'd say this one is clearly a different car than the one posted, notice the high back bucket seats.

High-back buckets? Believe me when I tell you, they aren't so high. They're the same height as Babe's but with a headrest on top. I had had the bench seat from the '75 Elite I parted out, but it was left behind where I had done Babe's preliminary engine/trans swap work. Same color broadcloth but tufted(?) with buttons, headrests and no center armrest.
