Hello, my name is Darren, and I am a car-aholic!
I just dragged home a 56 Ford Ranchwagon 3 days ago. Pretty solid car but needs a full resto. Will be a restomod if that's what you want to call it, definitely not going back original.
My wife and I have done 3 frame off restos for ourselves, a 59 Chevy Apache 36, 69 Chevelle, and her baby a 71 Bronco. We also have a 78 Malibu with a roller cammed 355, and an 85 Monte SS that I bought new.
We also completed a frame off restomod for my uncle on a 53 Chevy Carryall and some work on friends cars including a 70 GTO, 69 Corvette, 65 LeMans conv, 79 Trans Am , and others.
I will hopefully be picking some brains here for help as I am clueless about these old Fords!
I just realized I need some help posting pics!
    Sorry for the long intro!

    Welcome aboard, Darren!
How did you ever buy a Ford after all those years of GM projects?

HaHa good one! Saw it on the side of the road for sale and thought it was cool looking! I don't remember ever seeing a 2dr wagon around here that wasn't a Chevy.

Not long at all and welcome aboard. With all that GM history (save one) I can believe you will need support from the Ford specialist around here.
Loading pics is pretty basic just follow the prompts under your post box.

Stop by the lounge sometime and help yourself to a beverage in the fridge anytime.

    :Welcome:

    Welcome aboard.
I'm a FORD guy, but I love most old cars, regardless of brand.
Looking forward to seeing your cars when you get the picture thing figured out.

    Darren,
Thanks for sharing the pics of your awesome rides...I'm drooling up a storm here. A friend of mine has a '52 Suburban, not quite as nice as yours, but he drives that thing everywhere , and occasionally pulls a vintage travel trailer.
The '56 Ranch wagon looks like a great score.
