I've wanted to own a '63 T bird since I drove one just like this from Atanta to Jacksonville back in 1970. What a sweet, stylish highway cruiser!
I'm amazed it didn't bother him until at 75 he was lifting concrete blocks. I also loved that style of T-Bird. Nearly bought one around 10 years ago from a local guy who has a large building full of square T-Birds they fix and sell.
Had a '62 for a short while. Loved them every since seeing the one my mom's boss owned. Back in '62 that was just about the coolest interior you could hope to have....... very comfortable bucket seats and a big console. And a big wide hood to look out over.
Or the guy was..... 'hurts when I do that stunned so I don't do that anymore' for the last 50 years until his arm finally swelled up. The human body is a strange thing but......50+ years, the guy was in hospital in 63 because of the accident...nobody took a X-Ray back when he clearly must have had a wound of some sort to his arm back in the day????
Remember his hip was broken too. Back in the day that was some serious business. My grandmother died from complications from a broken hip. Me I have two metal ones and was walking in days. I'd still think the guy would have felt the blinker lever in his arm feeling differently than the other arm.

Hahahaha I wonder if his arm slaps back after he makes a turn... It is amazing that he went so long before it started to bother him but I suppose like most folks, as you age you have a tendencey to put it off to something known like arthritist.
