Absolutely beautiful vehicle. Looks to be for sale by a Chrysler-Dodge dealer. La Porte, Indiana.
Doesn't seem to be attracting much interest. IMO, these are under-valued on the market (a good one, anyway...)

It is spectacular, isn't it? What a lovely driver it would make.

It is a Beautiful example of a under appreciated Model, now and when they were made. Not selling was why the full size RWD Chryslers disappeared in the first place. They are very nice riding cars

I recall reading some where that inadvertently Chrysler's Labaron based 5th Ave 80/81 were the reason of bad sales of the New Yorker. IMO I can see why, none the less the one posted is very sharp.....be sharper if it was all blue though.

I can not imagine all the Greyhound hair those door panels would accumulate! I believe the reason for the poor sales were industry worst MPG and Reliability along with slightly higher prices than Mercury's, Olds, or Buick's. That and recently downsized GM and Ford Models were generally well received initially.
The Chrysler cars were perceived as old and outdated, that and the seller did not know if Chrysler was going to be around for the duration of the new car warranty.
If Chrysler would have actually gone away in 79 or 80 the cars would have almost no resale value, and no place to use the new car warranty.

Understand why this Mopar would have been a more than dubious investment as new, but now it looks great at the price for a cushy and plushy driver.

I would having had 2 New Yorkers and 1
5th ave would rather have the full size .

the cross ways t-bars on the 5th ave did not handle or ride anyways near the NY.

I think the Limited Sales of these Models greatly affected the popularity of them as a Classic, Most people never even saw them when new. Very few have fond memories of them so very few people consider them when looking for a Classic. I agree that it is a great Price for a very Nice car in great shape.
But I am afraid it is a case of no one wanted them when new, and no one wants them now. If you are looking for a Cheap classic you can own and enjoy driving they are great option. If you plan on buying it as an investment pass on it.

I think the 2-tone is effecting price, not in a good way but over $3000 is not a give away price.
