Just joined the group this past week and I've seen this car posted all over the place. About 5 minutes ago, I became her new owner. Picking it up on Friday in Idaho and driving her home to the DC area in Maryland. Gonna hopefully have a fun, uneventful cross country excursion in this ole girl.
Once i'm standing in front of it with the keys, I'll put up a different pic...and a few more as we head east.
Welcome and congratulations. The car looks really good, the blue really sets off the woodgrain. Is that a really thick and tall radio antenna on the fender or is there a flagpole behind the car?
Hahaha good eye BlueVista. Welcome and congratulations it looks amazing. Safe travels, we'll check for your update photos.
Thanks much.. It's just a stroke of luck how I wound up with finding this car. I recently sold a 1977 Chrysler Town and Country I bought in AZ in 2005 and drove across country as well. I lost steam on that ole girl because she was just so far gone, even when I got it that I didn't have the energy. A Mopar Head has the car now and is trying to restore it. My heart was set for a late 80's Colony Park as I drove one in high school and college, but this car kept coming back to me. We'll see how she does cuz it's about to go on a 3,000 mile journey. And yea, that antenna is HUGE!! lol
Welcome! I love that color of blue. Looking forward to hearing about your drive across country. Hope it's smooth and uneventful. Well, maybe a couple of events just to make it an interesting story.
