They included a biopic of Harold Lemay! He may have a private collection for the ages, but how he obtained those cars is legendary crookedness!

He owned the garbage collection agency in and around the City of Tacoma and Pierce County, Washington. His drivers were instructed to keep eyes peeled for unusual and collectible autos, usually owned by elderly people, so when one was spotted, the company would withhold billing and let a large bill accrue, usually over 6-9 months. Then, a 'payment agent' would come by the residence to 'collect the large bill,' and the owner would usually not have the money to pay the bill. So the upshot is that the collection agent would suggest signing over the car to prevent the bill going to collection, causing all sorts of problems for the customer. Apparently, the collection was grown over a 40-year period ending in the early Eighties, and not one person raised a hand and said "that's dishonest!"

Well, he'd get his comeuppances; the county constantly would hound him, and later, his family, about all the stored wrecked and otherwise inoperable parts cars he had stashed around on properties that were otherwise out of public view. Once the collection had been donated to the city, a deal had been struck between the family and the county to clean out those stashes and properly store the car parts still needed on resto projects. The family then cleaned the properties and sold them for a princely sum.

And a lifelong resident told me about the time he was a teen, being chased by the cops through downtown Tacoma (which is hilly like San Fran), careened around a corner, and wiped out the one and only good fender on a Model T Old Man Lemay had on one of his company wreckers that he paid a lot of money to get. So, there was karmic backlash, so to speak.
