Oddly optioned car looks to have the 400 2bbl and 3-speed manual on the Column. Pwr Steering, Brakes, & Front Bench seat, A/C, the Ventura appearance package, and rear window air deflector. Looks to have a Pwr back window. I am assuming its a 2 seat wagon as no mention is made of how many seats it has. Not to pricy at around $10,000 OBO. But unfortunately it is Green on Green that's a no sale for me. But I Like it. Could use some better pictures though

Pretty sweet machine. I dig the column shift three speed trans. Not sure on the price. Hard to tell the actual condition of the body with those pictures.

He's asking about double what it's worth. Good luck to him.

I agree, but it is only the asking price, I figure it is worth around $6000 if it has no major rust issues. And while I think the 3 on the tree is interesting, I never want to drive another one. I had a few and the novelty wears off after about 5 minutes. Floor shift or auto for me please.

I always wanted to try driving a manual-on-the-column car. Looks like a lot of fun, especially for a wagon!

A three on the tree is much better for front center passenger comfort than a floor shift. They're fine for the open road, get a limp noodle rubber clutch leg when you have to drive a stick in city traffic, especially that humongo beast. It must eat clutches like dogs eat dollar meals at Mickey D's. I can almost smell that burnt clutch disc fried chicken aroma now.:D
I learned to shift when I was about five years old sitting on my Dad's lap in his '53 Ford pickup. He did the clutch and told me what gear he wanted, I never did shift into reverse.

If the center passenger is an attractive female the floor shift is way better.

The novelty of the column shifter wear thin for me after about 5 minutes, just like the modern flappy paddle shifters. As stated if you are on the highway no problem, but city driving is a pain. I still believe the car companies purposely redesigned the column shifters in the early 50's to make them horrible to sell more automatic's. If you drive a column shift car from say 35-50 they shift much nicer with much shorter throws.
