    A beautiful car. But those bumpers look like the were glued on off of something else.

    Great Looking Example, I always hated the padded Landeu tops on those models, it just doesn't look good on a fast back to me. I agree with the way the bumpers look, but AMC was just about bankrupt when the 5mph bumper rules came out, and all the old design car models just got those stuck on looking bumpers, but the rear bumpers on the late 2-dorr Matador's more stuck on as an after thought than the rest of them.

    Most I've seen over the years have had those big-ass bumpers removed. A far better looking car that way, but without any protection.

    Curious as to why power windows were optional on the Matador sedan and wagon, but not on the coupe?
