    My Dad's 60's wagon. About a 64 or so, I think.

And another wagon behind it, but it's not very clear.

The Falcon wagon in the foreground is a 1960 or 61 model. The Plymouth wagon in the background is either a 59 Plymouth Fury Sport Suburban or a 59 Plymouth Belvedere Custom Suburban.

Thanks Jim. Didn't recall off hand. We had that car up till about 1968 or so. Rotted so bad, part of a fender came away from the car in ND. Dad stopped, ripped it the rest of the way off, tossed it in the ditch, and off we went.

The house was my Dad's parents in Manfred, ND. I am thinking the Plymouth was one of my uncles or aunt's.

Here is another shot of it, towing our little camping trailer.

That trailer did not expand in anyway. The "large door" on the right is where you entered the trailer. The little door held some supplies, campstove, etc IIRC. The inside was basically two beds. The parents slept on the bottom, and there was a half bunk that ran across the back of the trailer. My sister and I slept there. My older brother (in the pic), slept in a tent that attached to the trailer. We have come a long ways since then.

That yard, Cat, looks like it's recent. Jeff, where'd you find that photo?

We married at the end of 1957. For the first years we had a 10X12 wall tent, or close to that size. After a few other tents I drove a 1965 Mustang fastback. Bought an old trailer made of what I think was a 1934 Chevy truck bed and rear end. It had a 4'+ tall box built on it with two piece rear door. The bottom folded down and the top went up to make an awning. Behind this was a wall with a small entrance door. Inside was a full bed with matress at the upper truck bed level. Supplies went under the bed.
On each side was a long narrow wooden awning that folded up leaving a screened window on each side. The sides were dark green and the roof painted black. UGLY!
Remember Lil Abner? Sorta like that.
Imagine pulling that with a 1965 Mustang at highway speeds! Don't think it even had shocks. Many local trips around central Illinois and many all around both sides of lower Lake Michigan. Camping was fun back then. The two boys slept in a small tent or with us in bad weather. We went up to a cheap Puma fold down camper after that.
