    I actually like this platform (although I can do without the vinyl roof). It had plenty of head and leg room with the power seat, and you could toss in a 340 or 360 and an EFI conversion if you wish.

    Had a nice on when i was in pa loaded with silver leather if it has a roof option (t-top or sunroof) i think i would have kept it. 012.JPG 022.JPG

    CLOSE to the platform, but nearly zero parts interchange, as far as the body and interior go. The Imperial had a FI 318, which was a very tempermental system and was recalled by Chrysler, If you find a car still with FI, it is nearly impossible to source parts for. The factory recall on the Imperial involved a LOT more than simply replacing the intake and induction. The fuel tank, pump, lines, and the electronic speedometer were all replaced.

    Plus, the Imperial was a hand-built car and had its own dedicated assembly line.
