OK, you asked for a pic of my GTX but it's in hibernation until spring. Here's a pic of my previous build, now owned by the LeMay family.
Building things has been a fantastic hobby. This is one I finished and sold 15 yrs ago and just resold at Mecum, Monterey, last year.
I love that Mark. Like the little changes you did to it - lower bumper painted body color; a little ride height adjustment. Probably a lot more I'm missing...
Thanks guys. The list of work done on the Continental was endless. In the process of advertising it for sale, I was lambasted by purists. If any of you were considering getting one and doing a resto or custom, STOP. Go to the doctor and get some meds that take that thought right out of your brain. I have an extra 368 c.i.d. MEL engine for sale if anyone knows of someone who is looking.
Frankly, those mods on that Mark are so nice, I wouldn't care if it depreciated a bit because of them. I'm hoping to get up to the LeMay Museum in 2016. Is the Mark on display, or is it in the family's personal collection?
Doug Lemay bought it (Harold's son). He's not in charge of the Lemay Museum but a family owned other type museum called Marymount. I haven't been back there since the last auction held there to see if he has the car on display or in his personal collection.
