If someone parked on either side of that wagon they'd have to go in and eat some more while they waited out back.

Wonder what the story is behind this.

At first it was a NO LIKE then a not too bad. The too tall rear spoiler and the not just right hood scoop makes it iffy! Still I'd drive it until some other sucker paid good money for it.

That's the trick--finding the fool with more money than common sense.

That Disney amphicar ad is nice.
What amazes me among all of the other things that amaze me are all the things I've seeen and done that just seemed normal to me when younger. Of course I've always lived a normal life!:)
Fer instance....... When those amphicars first came out two would often be put in the Illinois river at the end of our main street, central Illinois USA. Not at the same time. That would have been rare. A blue one and a red one so it just seemed like there must have been many of them around.
Here in Florida near the Suwannee River our 26 year old got to work on and drive one down river to and into the Gulf a few times. Again just seemed normal.
I've also seen several around central Florida at car events.

Same with other rare and limited production cars, seen a lot of them not realizing it was normal. Then again, I've always been normal!
I remember a Tucker back home when they were new and a few here in central Florida.

Seeing a new Tucker 'back home' is truly rare, indeed! I got to see one at the then-new San Diego Auto Museum (got a couple pics, also). If I find them, I'll have to scan them in and post them up, if I ever get around to it.

Disney has a history of 'killing' attractions that prove to be high-maintenance. I predict that those Amphicar rentals will soon go away....... Management might get tired of dispatching assistance out to the middle of the lake to rescue some stranded guests.
(Although I wouldn't be surprised to find they've made some modifications to them (like different engines) to make them more reliable.)

Been back from my Southern California trip a few days now. We (#2 daughter and I) left Springfield on the Sunday after Thanksgiving at around 6:30 AM, and made pretty good time, until we hit holiday going-home traffic on the I-5 in the southern half of the San Joaquin Valley. We got stuck in stop-and-go traffic for about 100 miles. I pulled into a gas station at the bottom of the grapevine with 15 miles to empty, with hundreds of cars in the same predicament. Finally arrived at our destination in Orange County at about midnight. Did the solo return trip on a night run, leaving at around 6 PM on Saturday, and arriving home about 10:15 Sunday morning (slept for an hour or so in Redding). Had to drive through some snow and sleet for a few miles around Shasta, but I got through without having to install the chains.

I've made quite a few of these mad dashes to So Cal and back now, and frankly, it's getting hard. Plane looks real good for next time.......
