I went and looked at this car yesterday. It is a rust-free wagon. The original owner (now 95yo) is a great lady and loved the wagon. It was "the first new car [she] ever owned." - The trim around the woodgrain is peeling in certain areas. - The woodgrain is original and has been touched up with some brown paint in spots - The engine is a 351M - It has been sitting in the garage for two years and definitely needs a tune up. - It drives good and the transmission shifts well. - The brake pedal is a little soft. - The AC needs charging. - The power seat moves forward and backward, but not up and down. - All of the power windows are working. - The power locks do not work well. - The hideaway headlights work great. - The cornering lamp on the left side is not working. The right works fine. - Turn signals, tail lights, interior lights, etc. are working. - The original spare is still in the car. - The dual facing rear seats have (according the owner) have never been used. The compartment door was locked and we could not get it open. - The headliner is perfect. - The driver's seat is torn where you sit. - No chance to test the cruise control, but it is there. - The car is a light gray with burgundy interior. - The passenger seat reclines. - The dash has NO cracks. - The tires are good and show no signs of cracking. - The paint is original and should shine very nicely with a wash and wax. The owner and her granddaughter are both very nice ladies. The price is negotiable. However, the owner would not go below $3900. She's staying firm and according to her granddaughter, "she's the boss." All in all, it would be a good car for someone at the right price.
I believe this one sold, I was trying to watch it, the price dropped to 3000, was ready to jump on it when it disappeared. Hopefully somebody will give her a good home.
