    She is a real beauty. Not sure about that price for a car that has been in storage for a decade. Still, a great car.

    I'm often amazed how many of these vehicles are close to where I am from. I'm pretty sure the photos are across from the old VW dealership, now the Jeep dealer in No. Pekin.
    The car is from across the river near our oldest son. Depends how much winter driving this car saw on how nice it is. Lots of salt used back there in winters.
    Maplton is where the Caterpillar foundry is.

    These roll out at approximately #4,600, depending on engine and options.

    I like the '78 Mercury GM cars, especially the coupes. A lot of people don't like late '70s anything, but I really like the big Mercurys and Chryslers of that time. No exception here!

    Last Mecum auction a 1957 Isetta sold at approx $35 a pound.
    Go figure :huh:
