Here are a few pics of the 1951 Chrysler Windsor T & C Wagon I just got
from the original owners son - see pic of owner.
It is needy but there were not many made so preserving it is worth the effort
It developed engine trouble in 1972 and was put away then.

Looks like a great rare project. I'll bet a good cleaning will make a difference.:yahoo:
Appeared to be a tight fit in that garage. Amazing how dirty the wagon got.

That's the definition of a barn find right there........I agree that washing it will help it, seems well preserved. Were those all flathead 6 powered? Too early for a hemi, right?

    :Welcome: Joe,
That's a nice find. It appears to be all original. I also think with a good cleaning it will start coming back to life.

Good luck and let us know what progress you make on it.

    Jack:)

Buster, I think it's probably the flathead 6. If I'm not mistaken, the hemi powered cars may have started in '53-'54.

Someone in town here owns a '51 Plymouth Cranbrook, all original down to the paint, and a great save because when was the last time you saw a '51 anything not Ford or Mercury?

    Thanks all for the comments.
The car got really dirty because the garage doors were not exactly a tight fit when closed but the garage served its purpose of keeping the car out of the elements. And you should have seen the size of the spiders in there......
Oh yeah, it was a tight fit in that garage, too. I had to actually use a floor jack and "swing" the cars passenger side away from the wall because there was about 6 inches clearance.

The Windsor series had the flat 6
The NY'er and Saratoga had the new Hemi
