Any one know what wheel opening moldings fit a 1972 Chevelle Concours wagon? Some of mine are dented and I would like to replace them.
With a tiny little pick hammer and a cheap vice you can carefully tap it out. If you make a few dimples they can be filed gradually finer then buffed.
Thanks for the reply ModelT1 - I have done this in the past and that may be the answer. I guess I was looking for the easy way out.
Should be the same as for a 68-72 El Camino, however, I have read that that even the factory stuff didn't fit well from new, even on El Caminos. For my project nightmare I have secured original stuff, but my needs a few dings is not worth buying new or refinishing. The cars is going to get driven, and the molding will get touched by someones car doors at some point.
Thanks chevygod. I plan to drive mine also so I may just try to straighten then out - they are not that bad...
