400 V8 and all power including dual power seats and power mini-vent windows. A real looker. https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/cto/4994593415.html
I could kick myself when I see these cars. I could have bought one just like this (except it was yellow) 12 years ago for $900 at a local Ford dealer. It was on the bargain lot, just as nice as this one! Then I think about the one my great aunt had that she bought new in '78. Sold it for $300 10 years ago, still in excellent shape. I didn't know she was selling it!
Beautiful wagon, with some (small) issues. If most everything was fixed, I would think that would be a pretty good price. Having the buyer do your quality control as it were, I'm thinking more like $8k.........
Definitely a loaded CS. It has the Luxury Interior Group, with 50/50 dual comfort front seats, burl wood trim and door pull straps. And, the rare cargo area locking stowage compartment. Only thing missing is a 460. I can't get over how valuable these things are becoming.
Great looking $5000 wagon. It's hard for me to see these prices when I bought new vehicles these years for under $5000. Making it even worse I make less now that I'm retarded!
Hey, that's my car. I posted a couple of years ago when I bought the old girl. It doesn't get the attention it deserves as I keep busy on my old Cadillacs. I've been an infrequent visitor here on this board but have gotten a lot of useful info used in tinkering on the CS. I drove all over the place looking for a CS for months only to find rustbuckets and incomplete cars. I bought this one for good money and dumped plenty more into it to make it safe and serviceable. When I posted my ads I tried to be as accurate as possible to avoid someone being disappointed when they took the effort to look. It is as described. The wheels and tires are a look I like. Of course the next owner can put it back to original as I have the original wheels and covers. The reason I'm selling the old girl is that we just don't cruise her enough and my Cadillacs get most of the love. I just sold a classic boat for an "I don't want to sell it" price and it took a while but the asking price was fair for what it was and it kept the bargain hunters away. It won't be going to someone who doesn't love her and it can stay in my garage indefinitely. Thanks for the positive comments.
Me either. Makes me regret not buying one ('76 Country Squire) that was on the wholesale lot at a local Ford dealer in 2003 for $900. It was in mint condition. Also, the '78 that my great aunt bought new and sold 6 years ago for $300 without telling me, also in super condition. Oh well!!
The car is sold. Went for $10K even. Glad to see it go to a buyer who was enthusiastic. Hope he will join you on this board.
Congrats! Good news for us current wagon owners. Values are going up. Maybe not so good news for someone in the market for a wagon.
