    1965_studebaker_commander_station_wagon6.jpg My wagon of choice is a 1965 Studebaker sliding roof Wagonaire. I have owned it for a little over a year and now have it torn down for a full restoration. I included some pics of similar vehicles as mine is in no shape for photos right now.
    I am a 27 year instructor of Automotive Technology and my goal is a nice driver for my wife and to pull our 1958 vintage Aloha canned ham trailer.

    Welcome great vehicle of choice to pull an old RV or just cruise. I've only seen a few in person.
    I wonder how they are for leaking?
    The early Chevy Nomad was supposed to be like that but time, money, and production problems stopped it. So they ended up with nothing but fake ripples on the roof. Even the Nomad lift gates leaked more than other wagons did. Good luck.

    Great body style. I've never seen one in person, I've heard about them and always thought they were cool from the pics. Studebakers were always ahead of their time.

    ModelT1, The sliding roof Wagonaire did have a tendency to have roof leaks. There were 4 drains, 2 front, 2 back, and if they became clogged the roof would leak inside.
    Easy fix - blow out the drains.

    Even many cars including my 55 Chevy wagon have a drain at each side of the windshield that occasionally needs cleaned out. People were never told so many cars end up with rusted out areas.
