Yeah....I saw an article this morning on that. I tell ya....I won't be here but 20 or 30 years down the road and you won't recognize this country. I hardly recognize it NOW. But it's going to get much worse.

They need to downsize a lot more than just Pontiac!

How about GMC, Buick, SAAB & Saturn too?

Buick is a seller and has created good engines. Have you driven a Buick? For the money they are a great car. I agree with what you say but not Buick.

GMC and the silverado are the same truck....why make both? my thoughts ...kill the silverado and make gmc just trucks, light and medium duty. saturn....ehh i dont know... the aura is nice so is the astra (as far as small cars go. buick has 2 damn cars as of next year!!! the enclave and the next gen lacrosse! look, im tri-sheild to the bone but i thought pontiac was selling better and buick was gonna die for sure. hummer and saab need to go.

No, never driven a new Buick but it might as well be just like any other similar GM product.

    Who buys new Buick's?

As would I, A1. Almost did buy one. To answer your question, Clark...apparently more people than buy Pontiacs. I would presume if Pontiac was outselling Buick it would be Buick going instead of Pontiac.

What is a Lacrosse? Never heard of it!

I used to know every model car there was but they all look the same and hey I'm 50 now, I just don't pay attention anymore I guess!

A1...I'm really disappointed to hear that those are the only 2 Buicks for next year. I hadn't heard that. I think THAT is a mistake. When they were building the LeSabre with the 3800 for around 20K it was a GREAT car for the money and sold well. I loverd the 3800 engine. Possibly the best American V6 ever made. And I like the look of the earlier LaCrosse better. The newer ones are looking a little like the Caddy.

Buick should be replacing Caddy 100%. Caddys are overpriced and need to go. If you need a caddy, then they need to offer only a few high end Chevys and Buicks. I wont miss Saturn, Saab or Hummer, but Im very sad to see a geat selling line like Pontiac get the cut. Around here there are more Ponchos on the road then all the rest of the GM brands combined, to cut them is just foolish! Buick is the next step down from a Caddy and its only a short step down in quality but huge step down in price. GMC, just a rebadged Chevy and it should go as well, we dont need the exact same looking models with different emblems.

Silver, the 3900 replaced the 3800 a couple years ago, just as the 2.8 was replaced by the 3.1 then the 3400. They all run the same block and externals with very tiny internal increasings. My 3.1 in my Monte will and has outrun 3800's in the new Monte SS's and every 3400 it ever came up against. Some things are better left unchanged and the 3.1 was one of them.

I've always wanted an old Bonneville wagon - '65 - '69. Looks like I'll have to pay more for a good one now........

This is a sad, sad day. GMC could have gotten the axe, or they could have just sent some Chevies down a secondary line to have GMC labels plastered on them, that's all they are. Pontiac had so much to offer, but I guess that's what you get with the world turning into what it is.
