Good bit of duct tape around that rear window.

Why are there vents on some clamshell tailgates, just below the glass and not on others?

Exterior vents for interior circulation (astro-ventilation) 1971 only for all GM models. Water leaks were the reason.

Those vents were on the 1971 models only and actually were also on the trunk lids of ALL of the General Motors sedans and coupes for 1971. It had something to do with the "flow-thru" ventilation. It was a one year only setup and by '72 they used a different setup that eliminated the vents. I think they put the vents inside the door jambs.

I think this one was posted over a month ago, looks like it dropped in price. Now it's $2,500.

That duct tape is quite likely because the rubber seal has perished like they do on so many. Other than that, the car looks fairly solid, just not necessarily the most pretty. For the money, it could be a solid, dependable driver.

$2500 is pretty strong for this car. It may run and drive, but the body is an utter mess. As it sits, $1000.
