I found this map where you can pick what states you have visited. I decided to list the states I visited or even just driven through only in my 86 Eagle. I've been to more states in other vehicles, but just wanted to share the ones with the one Eagle. My goal is to visit or drive through 49 states and some of Canada with it. Of course, Hawaii is off the list unless I hit the lotto. I would love to go to Central and south America some day, but too much of a chicken with all the safety concerns. Here's the link to create your own. http://m.maploco.com/visited-states/

    What a nice idea.

As of this posting date, I've only driven the Colony Park in Pennsylvania and I'm not driving it in the winter (other than reversing out and in the garage for idling every so often) with all this salt on the roads.

Here's yours. Better than many. You drove your wagon in Hawaii?

Some people think I'm crazy that I'll jump in an almost 30 year old vehicle and drive 2,000+ miles on a whim. I think going to the same office and sitting at the same desk everyday is even crazier.

Gas is pretty cheap right now. This would be the perfect time to take a road trip.

You need to copy the "share your link" link. Then click on the image tag here that looks like a picture of a mountain and paste the url in the box.

I've driven my '78 Fairmont wagon through only 3 states: California, Oregon, and Washington. I fought a charging problem all the way up and down and found out a battery only lasts 1 hour when the headlights are turned on. Fortunately, I was on the last leg of returning home and had bought a spare battery just for such contingencies.

It turns out the problem was I was too rough with the alternator wiring when I removed it when the alternator konked out in northern Cal (I think). A wire had broke inside the insulation so it made continuity until I wiggled the wire.

A case of the journey being more interesting than the destination!

Since we were a Navy family, a lot of them:

    - 1983 AMC Concord SW (17 states): PA, VA, NJ, NY, RI, MASS, NH, VT, CONN, ME, DC, MD, DE, NC, SC, GA, FLA.

    - 1989 Ford Crown Victoria (34 states, 1 foreign nation): PA, VA, DC, NJ, NY, RI, MASS, NH, VT, ME, MD, DE, NC, SC, GA, FLA, OH, Canada, MI, ILL, IND, KY, COL, IA, KS, ID, MINN, MON, NEB, OR, ND, SD, WV, WIS, WY.

Now I know where all of the gray hair came from as most of these included 2 kids, the dog, and 2 birds. The funniest had to be stopping at the Wounded Knee Memorial Church....there were two Indians sitting under the only tree around for miles watching the "Brady Bunch" wagon show up in the mid-day desert heat to look around and let the dog out. Their faces showed no emotion but I'm sure they were thinking....:jumping:
